New Year's Eve is one of the most exciting nights of the year. It is the night that begins a NEW YOU. Okay yes, I admit, that phrase is overused and not necessarily always true BUT, before a new year begins, you should end the current one with a BANG! You can achieve this by looking oh-so-trendy and fabulous on one of the best (and last) nights of the year. Most people think that tight, sequined, body-con dresses are the only way to do a New Year's Eve outfit, but they are sadly mistaking. You don't need too many sequins to look festive and beautiful at the same time. Below are some of my favorite looks for not only the
holidays but especially for New Year's Eve!
Both of these looks above are for warmer climates. The first look on the left is for a more casual night on the town. It consists of a black, strappy, and effortless (who doesn't love that word) top, and high waisted leather shorts. I added the booties for shoes, but you could wear flats, heels, tall boots, or whatever your preference may be. On the right is a velvet gold dress. Velvet is trending this winter season, as always, and can definitely be dressed up when paired with sequin heels and long pendant necklace.
These two looks are for colder climates. The one on the left is more casual. (I mean who said turtle necks weren't fabulous?) The turtleneck sweater paired with the metallic gold skirt and the over-the-knee boots make for a fabulous, yet very practical, chilly New Year's Eve look. The look on the right is the one you would/could/most definitely SHOULD wear alongside Leo DiCaprio for that dinner date he's definitely going to ask you on. The jumpsuit is such a classic style but the sheer beaded top make it especially unique and festive. Pair that with your favorite red lipstick and staple black pumps to complete the look.
Find your joy. Then do it. Be it. Live it.
