From the New York to the lovely city of Paris, @badgalriri really showed us what the future of fashion entails. The gothic sporty collection of her fw16 collection did a 180 into something that truly belonged to Paris, full of shy colors and baroque style accents that indeed won us (or at least me) over. There were many reasons as to why this collection was utterly perfect, so here we have the five “The’s” of FENTYxPUMA SS17.
In order to set the scene, this show was held in Hotel de Salomon de Rothschild, a baroque salon in which was created to be a Louis XVI so to say set up. How historical of you, Riri.
MARIE ANTIONETTE. How could we have not caught on to that immediatly? There’s now a sudden royalty to it all. With that being said, Rihanna also managed to indulge in the next generation aesthetic of gym wear, somewhat Yeezy style, yet a style that’s fit for a king and queen.
Pepto pink, lavender, and mint; the trifecta of colors! This sporty meets royalty collaboration was assembled in the such supremacy, but what else is there to expect from the queen herself. Corset belts, hooded jumps suits unzipped revealing alluring lingerie, heavy pearls, puffy sleeves, and rococo detailing. Overwhelming the say the least, but that’s not stopping anyone from purchasing these boss a$$ looks.
You’d expect to see the stars of this SS17 strutting this catwalk, but Rihanna seems to love to give us the unexpected. We surely got to see a Hadid, but it’s the one we’ve been longing to oo and ah over for so long.
THE lady of the hour.
And let’s not forget the reason this all happened. Viv la Riri.
