Urbanites everywhere are retiring their whites, growing out their beach-ready balayage waves, and moving forward with the Fall trends that NYFW so graciously outlined for us back in February. Autumn is among us and with a new season, comes exciting new styles. These new looks don’t just mean darker fabrics and heavier garments. They also entail fresh shades of cosmetics ranging from lipstick classics to bold glitter details to deep nail polish pigments. Your fall color palette is at the heart of all the looks you’ll be rocking this season. Check out this seasons essential shades:
1) Lip color classics:
The hues carefully coated on our puckered lips mark this season’s most notable statement. Creamy coffee browns, plum tints, and modern matte reds are just some of Fall’s signature lipstick shades. I believe that everyone should own at least one of this seasons classic lip colors. Two perfect options are NYX’s Matte Muted Plum and Deborah Lippmans Drops Of Brandy.
2) Warm eye shadow shades:
Fall colors also come to life in the form of eye shadow. Eye shadows during this season tend to be darker and warmer, giving way to the intense smokey eye seen in the Winter. Two great shades for the season are Anastasia’s Warm Peachy Brown and Matte eggplant.
3) Muted and metallic polishes:
Muted and metallic tones are a big nail polish trend this Fall. Muted grays such as Essie’s Now and Zen, and Smith and Cult’s Opaque Elephant Gray will definitely be making an appearance this season. Metallic nail polishes have also gained popularity on and off the runway. RGB Cosmetic’s Dusk nail color will give you that sophisticated metallic shade that you’ve been searching for.
4) Seasonal sparkles:
If you’ve been keeping up with fashion week, you’ve probably noticed the intense amount of glitter on the runway. Models are rocking sparkles like it’s concealer and everyone wants in on this new glitter craze. Warm glittery shades, such as Make Up Forever’s Smoky Diamond Power, are expected to be a showstopper this fall.
5) Burnt brows:
Another thing to take note of from NYFW are the deep brown or black brows seen on models. Filling in eyebrows has been taken to the next level, and Fall will be the place where we see it all unfold. To get a head start on the trend, check out Anastasias Long Wearing Brow Tint.
