"Inspire women who understand that beauty is more than your physical appearance”
This is Beyoncé’s main goal with the launch of her workout clothing line, Ivy Park. With over 200 items to be released on April 14th, one cannot help but anticipate its reveal.
The name Ivy Park is in homage to Beyoncé’s daughter, Blue Ivy, but also pays tribute to Parkwood Park, located in Houston, that her father and her would go running in when she was younger. In the promotional video posted on the Ivy Park website (and seems to be circulating all other the web), she says that the park has become more of “a state of mind”.
“When I have to conquer those things, I still go back to that park. Before I hit the stage, I go back to that park. When it was time for me to give birth, I went back to that park.” Beyoncé then adds, “The park became my strength”.
The collaboration between Queen B and TopShop was announced just before the end of 2015, and had the fashion world buzzing about what type of clothing would be produced by Bey and the British retailer.
The athleisure brand, according to the Ivy Park website, is a “new kind of performance wear: modern essentials for both on and off the field.” Seems like a dream come true for the collegiate; look fashionable for class and the gym. With prices ranging from $30 to $200, it seems like everyone will be blowing away their next paycheck on this new fashion forward phenomenon.
Ivy Park will be available for purchase at topshop.com, shop.nordstrom.com, and zalando.com. Keep an eye out for a review of the clothing line here on Clutch after it’s release! But in the meanwhile, check out the amazing Beyoncé and her promotional video (below) for Ivy Park:
