This past week I got a small glimpse into the business world. After attending networking lunches and career fairs my stress levels were high. Usually, and especially in situations like this, wearing an outfit I feel confident in gives me more confidence. However, I quickly realized, because I have never had to dress professionally before, my wardrobe was lacking some vital components. The business world, compiled of briefcases, firm handshakes, and lunch meetings, comes with a whole set of rules indicating
what is acceptable to wear. Here are a few of the things I picked up on and learned throughout this experience.
As my week came to a close, I realized as intimidating as the world of professionalism seemed, it was
not all bad. The people that wear these suits are just that, people, and you can learn a lot from them.
Getting over the initial hump is the hardest part, but wearing the right outfit can make it a little easier, so fake it till you make it and be a boss!
