As the hustle and bustle of everyday life catches up to you as we start our Fall semesters, nailing down a bullet proof regiment of go-to products will help your days seem like less of a hassle. Over the past few weeks, I’ve sampled an array of products that have a price range college kids can afford and results that will make you want to keep buying. These products are all essentials for girls on the go who still care about their daily beauty routine and keeping their skin clean.
Dickinson’s Original Witch Hazel cleansing cloths ($7)
These clothes are great for anyone who can see the effects of a long, stressful day on their face. As someone with sensitive skin, who also happens to be less than consistent with taking my makeup off at the end of the day, these wipes are a lifesaver. While some people may not love the way witch hazel smells, you really can’t deny the calming effects it has on your pores. Plus, the smell doesn’t linger, but the results will. These are great to keep in your vanity or even right next to your bed for the days you’ve really given up on trying.
Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant by Elizabeth Arden ($21)
This product can best be described as an overall skin salve. While I’m a huge fan of the Glossier ‘balm dot com’ this product holds its own next to it. The tube is huge for the price you pay and can be used on virtually anything that needs a bump of moisture. Surprisingly enough, I came to find out it is an overnight blister healer, which is a priceless investment when you walk a lot over campus and around the city.
Prevage City Smart Hydrating Shield by Elizabeth Arden ($68)
From the first time I applied this product to my skin before I started my morning makeup routine, I could tell that it was something that would revolutionize my skins life. It acts as the perfect base before putting on your makeup for the day, or just putting it on to give your skin a little boost when you don’t feel like applying a full face. It has a slight tint in it that would work for any skin tone - this was refreshing because finding a 50 SPF moisturizer that doesn’t white wash your face is rare. Every day of use I have seen my pores get tighter on top of my skin feeling genuinely cleaner and clearer. It also really helps my makeup set and continue to look bright all day long. Honestly, I am in a deep love affair with this product and how it treats my skin, I will be a return customer for years to come.
Booth Egyptian Argan Oil body butter ($8)
This is such a nice moisturizer find for a great price. The consistency is thick and creamy but by no means makes you feel slippery when you’re done applying. This particular scent is light and fresh but noticeable and will last throughout the day. It made my shoulders glow and moisturized my legs perfectly. Another great aspect of this product is that a little goes a long way.
