Everyone’s favorite babe from the Bronx, Cardi B, shows off flashy nails at NYC Fashion Week, and we are so here for it.
Cardi B is known for her unique style as well as her unique nails. She sat front row at Christian Siriano's Fashion Show during NYC Fashion Week. Spotted wearing a green pant suit from the designer's Spring collection accented with a Duckie Confetti white, fur stole. But let’s not forget the accessory that completes all of Cardi B’s looks, her iconic nails. The Swarovski crystals placed on her nails are always accompanied by her stunning diamond ring, creating the perfect hand candy for any event.
Cardi B’s one of a kind nails have been the talk on social media for the past two weeks. She frequently post pictures and videos of her nails, and her fans are all over it.
Cardi B’s glamorous nails are done by Jenny Bui of Nails on 7th in NYC's Bronx neighborhood. In an interview with Refinery29 Bui said, "I've been doing her nails for five years, the first time she came in, was back when she was working as a stripper at Sue's Rendezvous." Bui is best known for her use of original color and skill with Swarovski Crystals.
With all the crystals and crazy designs Cardi B’s nails have one them you can imagine how expensive they must cost to get done. A manicure like Cardi B's will probably cost around 80$, but if you're making money moves, might as well spoil yourself right? Cardi B once said on a Snapchat video, “Even when I was breaking I always got my nails done.” Priorities, ammi right ladies?
It’s taken a bit of research, polling, and extensive testing but the verdict is in on Fenty Beauty; It’s a knockout! Singer/Songwriter and all around badgirl Rihanna came out with a range of products fit for queens of all colors. It was a refreshing bomb dropped by the singer in the wake of the success that her Fenty x Puma collaboration that took the fashion industry by storm, and the beauty industry followed soon after
The style icon began with a foundation that boasted an all-inclusive 40 shade range and universally flattering finish. I’ve gone through half of a bottle and I’m obsessed with it! I have rosacea and combination skin so finding a foundation that covers all of that while looking natural and lasting a long time is really difficult for me. At $34 a bottle it’s by no means a drugstore foundation but compared to others in its class it is a price I can and will continue to justify. While conducting my tests I figured I would try out one or two other products by the brand just to see if I could find any other gems. While perusing the Sephora shelves I also picked up one of the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters. Depending on which shade you purchase, the highlighter can come in a duo such as Lightning Dust/Fire Crystal or a full pan single shade like Trophy Wife. I was blown away by the versatility of the duo that I picked up! It included a soft and subtle “glow from within” shade as well as a blinding “I have arrived, you’re welcome” shade.
The packaging is simple and small enough to toss in your purse for later touch ups in the unlikely event that you need them. On the skin the highlighter doesn’t have a chunky glittery appearance and will make you look glowy in any lighting. Upon asking some of my team here at Clutch Magazine what their thoughts on Fenty Beauty were there was a common thread among their responses; “I love it and can’t wait to see what Rihanna releases next.” Maybe a continuation of face products into liquid concealers or a mascara so that we can all achieve her signature seductive lashes? Whatever the fashion/beauty mogul ventures into next, I am waiting with bated breath!

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I went looking for a little something to treat myself for all the hard work I have put into this semester thus far. I should preface that one of my favorite things to shop for is underwear, and I am addicted to online shopping, as I love receiving gifts in the mail. I happened tp find Bootay Bag and honestly, I'm really into this.
So what is Bootay Bag? Bootay Bag is an online subscription that sends two pairs of underwear to your door every month for 12$ (with free shipping). Their sizes range from XS to XL, and you have the option of receiving from 1 of 3 packages, "always thongs," "never thongs," or "mix it up." When I contacted Bootay Bag about a potential collaboration, they asked for my preference and I chose "mix it up" to be able to review a wider range of their products and I am very satisfied.
So what were my thoughts?
The items shipped in a grey plastic bag, once you opened that you see the packaging from the pictures above. Simple and so cute, its just a manila styled envelope with a sticker on the front that begged me to respond "thank goodness you're here." As a sucker for good packaging, I was already a little sold on the product. I also really love that each pair came attached with the size and Bootay Bag style number so you know you're never receiving the same product twice. I decided to rate the style and fit, comfort, and durability of each pair of underwear to determine whether or not Bootay Bag was worth the hype. My results? It is.
3Style and Fit: The red lace thong is my favorite of the two. It's perfect for February, and i love the little oomf of self love I had when I tried these on. The lace is good quality, not itchy, not scratchy, super soft and comfortable. I wore these rollerskating, and to work, (for a total of like 13 hours or so) and it literally felt like I wasn't wearing underwear at all. Imagine that feeling of comfort and then remembering you're wearing a pretty little lace thong that hugs you in just the right way? Incredible. The black no show panties were also very comfortable, and I will continue to wear those around the house like I did this weekend. The lace of the black underwear was also very comfortable and soft, overall I would say these are pretty great quality.
Something I do struggle with when ordering from new online companies is the sizing. I am always afraid that their small is too small or their 2 is like an 4. The sizing on these were perfect. I had heard these may run a little small but I didn't have that experience. Usually I buy thongs a size up to make sure they stay comfortable all day, in whatever I am doing. Both pairs of underwear fit great, and weren't too snug. They hugged my hips, but didn't suffocate me or more too much when I was being active. That's right ladies, not a single wedgie.
Durability: I decided to wash these together with my other clothes, just like I was everything else I own and the quality didn't seem to change after I washed them. Some of my underwear (especially the lace ones) will rip or like flake around the seems and with how delicate these felt, I was almost expecting that to happen, but it didn't. These are definitely durable (hello roller skating and then an 8 hour shift and they still came out good as new? Amazing. ) I have paid like 8$ for a pair of underwear and not had them last me very long. It's always so disappointing to find a product that you think is going to be great, especially when it's from a big on brand company, and it fails you. Here, I had the exact opposite experience. I was so pleased with how these wore and how they lasted, I am in love with Bootay Bag.
In the spirit of February and lots of self love, I will be signing up for my Bootay Bag subscription to keep receiving a quality product at a great price, each month. So who needs a Bootay Bag subscription? Honestly, I would recommend this product to everyone. Still need to find your special lady a gift for Valentine's Day? Order her a Bootay Bag subscription. Ladies? Want to surprise your bestie with a great Galentine's gift? Bootyay Bag. Are you really feeling these underwear and want to treat yourself? Go for it! Seriously, I am so impressed by this product.
Nothing But Light,
It’s a safe bet to say it isn’t always easy deciding on an outfit to wear with your significant other. Even if you are wearing the same t-shirt, or coordinating colors, that is good enough! Matching with your best friend, or your boy/girl friend, can make the perfect Instagram picture at any music festival. Can you say goals?
We've all been there, your taping the set, drop your phone, and somehow it's gone forever. You might never get your phone back, and you might lose your wallet, but you definitely won’t lose your group if everyone is dressed the same! Going to music festivals with a big group is always fun, and why not use it as an excuse to match with your best friends? Use this unique experience to try a new accessory, together, you might just pull it off.
You can go either way, to be super casual, reach for your tank top and shorts, for a more dramatic look, reach for something a little outside your comfort zone! Either way, it's a music festival, be fun and explore!
5. Spirit Animal
Think costume, but more whimsical and trendy, and less scary. Music festivals are the perfect place to express your inner spirit animal! You’ll see everything from Unicorns, to Mermaids, and Butterflies!
I hope these inspire you to try something new next time you go to a festival! Have fun with your fashion, and be bold, you cant go wrong.
Whether you ‘Keep up with the Kardashians’ or not, you probably have heard the internet-breaking news that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott had a baby on February 1st. Although many have already suspected this and rumors of her pregnancy have been flying since last fall, Kylie has officially released the news about the birth of her child.
She posted on February 4th with a statement on her social media accounts along with a video that documented her pregnancy journey. In this statement, she apologized for keeping her fans in the dark and explained her reasoning behind keeping it a secret. Kylie has enjoyed these quiet past months and she said, “Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life." (Read her full statement below.)
Although she belongs one of the most famous and social-media savvy families of our generation, Kylie wanting to stay out of the spotlight during pregnancy is not surprising. In various past interviews, she stated that she didn’t like fame as much as the world thought she should have, and how she wished her relationships and other aspects of her life were kept more private. Kylie has been in the public eye since she was 9 years old, so it is completely understandable for her to need privacy in her life. She said in her statement that she wanted to avoid stress because she knew it would have a negative influence on how her baby felt. She surrounded herself with her close friends and family members who supported and loved her, not strangers who would scrutinize her.
Kylie’s decision to keep her pregnancy under wraps and to keep her unborn child in a stress-free environment shows the young celebrity’s maturity. Even if you are not the biggest fan of the Kardashian and Jenner family, you have to give props to Kylie for making this decision to stay out of the spotlight. She wants to be the best mother she can to her daughter and I personally believe she is off to a good start. Do you agree with her decision to stay out of the spotlight? Has this news changed your view of Kylie Jenner? Any name predictions for the baby? Leave comments and opinions below
